<image:title>Blog - A New Local Favorite - PAINTED HILLS BEEF STRIP LOIN* 6oz Seacoast Mushroom, Potato Mille Feuille, Shishitos, Bearnaise Espuma</image:title>
<image:caption>I definitely have a new go to when wanting some upscale, James Beard Award winning dining in the Mystic, CT area. Located right in downtown Mystic just over the drawbridge lies The Shipwright’s Daughter. The menu is simple and exquisite with some extremely creative culinary creations. Pictured here as the title states is the Painted Hills Beef Strip Loin. Every bite was incredible and cooked to perfection. I got the strip loin cooked medium rare, and it was expertly cooked and seasoned. One of my favorite ingredients on this plate were the blistered shishitos, they packed one incredible punch of flavor. If you visit Mystic and you are looking for a dining experience you will not soon forget, head over to see the work of Executive Chef David Standridge at The Shipwright’s Daughter.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - A Nelson Old Fashioned</image:title>
<image:caption>Searching for an absolutely delicious bourbon old fashioned in the Southeast Connecticut area. Head on over to The Lansdowne Pub at Mohegan Sun Casino when Nelson is working. Nelson makes an old fashioned that will have you returning for another when the craving hits. From the muddled fruit to the perfect balance of mixology the drink is full of flavor and classic notes. His go to bourbon is Woodford Reserve, but he can make it with any bourbon preference you present. If you want to step it up on the “smooth” level, ask him to make it with Basil Hayden Toast. And when it comes to personality as a bartender, Nelson is personable, professional, and makes sure that the customers’ mixology needs are met with precision. In the fast-paced new world, a visit to Nelson will make you feel a bit of old-fashioned Irish hospitality with an American twist.</image:caption>
