A New Local Favorite

I definitely have a new go to when wanting some upscale, James Beard Award winning dining in the Mystic, CT area. Located right in downtown Mystic just over the drawbridge lies The Shipwright’s Daughter. The menu is simple and exquisite with some extremely creative culinary creations. Pictured here as the title states is the Painted Hills Beef Strip Loin. Every bite was incredible and cooked to perfection. I got the strip loin cooked medium rare, and it was expertly cooked and seasoned. One of my favorite ingredients on this plate were the blistered shishitos, they packed one incredible punch of flavor.
